Birmingham & District Local History Association

Welcome to Birmingham and District Local History Association. The Association (formerly known as the Birmingham & District Association of Local History Societies) was founded in 1987 to provide an umbrella group for the growing number of local history societies in and around the city. We are best known for producing the highly acclaimed local history journal, Birmingham Historian, fast approaching its 20th issue. We also print a quarterly newsletter with all the latest news and events from the region.
